Kele Okereke speaks to Attitude Magazine on Gay Artists who don’t ‘push the community forward’

British Nigerian singer Kele Okereke is speaking on gay musicians who don’t support the community.

In an Interview with Attitude Magazine, the Bloc Party frontman said: “I don’t see many gay artists in the mainstream being that real.” He added that they are not doing enough with their mainstream visibility.

He added that: “There’s still a long way to go for gay artists to go in terms of being fully realised and being able to express themselves.”

Okereke released a song on same sex love with Olly Alexander last month.
