Lee Daniels was a guest on The Breakfast Club alongside Empire star Bryshere Gray and while on the morning show, he opened up on a new film project on the life of civil rights icon, Bayard Rustin.
When he was asked how he responds to people critical of the gay storyline in his projects, he emphasised its importance giving the hosts a quick lesson on who Bayard Rustin is adding that he is currently working on a film about the civil rights activist.
