The United Nations General Assembly organised an LGBTI high level event on "Violence Against LGBTI individuals: Extrajudicial, Summary Or Arbitrary Executions." The historic event saw the Secretary-General of the United Nations give his first speech on LGBTIQ issues in his tenure.
