Janet Mock on finding her path and self-love #TransDayOfVisibility

There is a lot about trans people that many still don’t know and the perfect time to learn is on International Transgender Day of Visibility.

It is a day dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments and victories of transgender & gender non-conforming people while raising awareness of the work that is still needed to save trans lives.

To commemorate this important day, we are going to show an old interview with Janet Mock at Google by Michael Bolognino. Mock is a writer, director, producer and trans activist who does remarkable work with trans advocacy.

In 2014, Janet Mock was in conversation with Michael Bolognino around the release of her New York Times bestselling book ‘Redefining Realness: My Path to Womanhood, Identity, Love & So Much More.’ She shared a lot about growing up as trans and her journey to self-actualization and self-love. We hope that as you watch you learn more about what it means to be trans and how you can be an effective trans ally.
