#OwodeArrest: 42 alleged gay men are still in police custody. Court arraignment still under probability

Following Saturday’s arrest of 70 persons on suspicions that they had taken part in illegal homosexual activities at Owode Onirin, Lagos state, The Rustin Times has confirmed that the 42 of the arrested men are still under police custody.
According to sources who spoke to The Rustin Times on the condition of anonymity, the arrested men have been moved to the Panti Police Station also known as the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Although our sources tell us that the men will probably be arraigned at the Ebute Metta Magistrate Court today, a lawyer, who was present at the police station, however informed The Rustin Times that as at 6pm (July 31st), the boys haven’t been given an Investigating Police Officer (IPO) who will investigate the case and, possibly, prosecute it too.
The fate of these young men are still unknown even as they maybe facing possible abuses of their constitutional and human rights.
