Ghanaian’s protest for LGBT rights at Folklorama

Ghanaians in Canada are protesting for the rights of LGBT people in Ghana.

At the annual festival Folklorama, they gathered in pink shirts with the inscription “Ghana Pavillion” and are collecting signatures to put pressure on the Ghanaian government to decrimnalise homosexuality. The move is also to raise awareness on the plight of LGBT people in the country.

Led by Sulemana Abdulai, they are hoping to submit the signatures to the Canadian government and the Ghana High Commission in Canada.
