Jay-Z’s mother opens up on coming out to her son

Gloria Carter made headlines when her son Jay-Z released his album “4:44.” The track was “Smile” and there the rapper and his mother addressed her sexual orientation.

Now she is shedding more light on the decision to reveal her sexual identity to her son. Speaking on the D’USSE Friday podcast she added that he cried when she came out to him.
