Legal Aid takes up Eyricka King Case

The story of Eyricka King went viral after her mother gave an account of the harassment she was facing at the Franklin Correctional Facility, a state owned prison for men.

King, a black transwoman has allegedly suffered from sexual and physical abuse and is in solitary confinement. She has also been denied access to medical treatment.

Legal Aid, one of America’s oldest and largest law firm for low-income families and individuals have taken up her case and have released a statement that you can read below.
