A new research conducted by the Pew Research Center shows that Muslims in America are more accepting of same-sex relationships.
This is more progress than White Evangelicals.
The research found that 52 percent of U.S. Muslims say homosexuality should be accepted by society. In contrast, only 34 percent of white evangelical Protestants believed in 2016 that homosexuality should be accepted by society.
The reports of this research follows the Twitter uproar when Freeform’s new series ‘The Bold Type’ introduced a character who identifies as a lesbian Muslim feminist.
The twitter reactions that followed were mixed.
The Bold Type, a new show on Freeform, has a Muslim, queer, hijabi as one of its stars and I’m just here shedding a tear over the diversity. pic.twitter.com/LhjVu0j5YQ

-the fact that you wish that Allah break the backs of those who support it shows how much hatred you have in you and your hatred-

Thanks for sharing this video @nowthisnews I love seeing a strong, queer Muslim woman like Adena on television ❤❤

Well you will only see this on television since these things do not exist in the Muslim world.

Why do people always forget that there is not one type of Muslim to be. Stop telling other Muslims how to worship, focus on yourselves

As a bisexual Muslim I’m so disgusted by all the homophobic replies on this post. Some people need to open their hearts & start loving more. https://t.co/9tqMuC67gU
