One Million Moms comes for ‘Doc McStuffins’ for featuring a Two-Mom Family

Disney Junior animated series ‘Doc McStuffins’ was praised for featuring an inter-racial same sex couple (voiced by Wanda Sykes and Portia de Rossi) on an episode of the show. However, with great praise comes greater criticism as conservative group ‘One Million Moms’ have started a campaign against Disney.

According to the group, Disney should not push their “agenda” on the kids and should let parents discuss the “lifestyle choices” that may be legal but “morally incorrect”

One Million Moms is a division of the American Family Association and this is not the first time they are coming for a Disney project.

Early in the year, they made a call against the live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Disney also aired its first on-screen gay kiss on a children’s cartoon show, “Star vs. the Forces of Evil.”

Disney has not responded to the One Million Moms campaign and another petition has been started by Life Petitions to boycott the show.
