Sign a Petition to push forward South Africa’s hate crimes bill

All Out has started a petition in conjunction with the Hate Crimes Working Group – South Africa to help push forward South Africa’s hate crimes bill.

Information in the petition states that perpetrators of hate crimes against LGBT people in South Africa often go unpunished; adding that the Department of Justice has promised to enact a law to protect LGBT people and other vulnerable groups from hate crimes.

A message to Michael Masutha, South Africa’s Minister for Justice and Correctional Services says:

It has been over 10 years since the Department of Justice promised to introduce legislation to protect LGBT people and other vulnerable groups from hate crimes.

We cannot afford to wait any longer.
