Support transgender and queer women in Uganda

The Eastern Region Women’s Empowerment Organisation has teamed up with All Out to provide emergency resources to transgender and queer women who have survived assault in Uganda.

Many of them have been victimised because of their sexual orientation or gender identity while others are tricked online to meet up with attackers, who end up beating them or extort them.

The Eastern Region Women’s Empowerment Organisation (ERWEO) is the first and only organization trying to change that, by helping transgender and queer women in rural Uganda to access safe housing and psychological support. But right now, they’re only able to help a tiny percentage of women who need it.

Visit the All Out website to see how you can help these women.
