Just a few months after his controversial scandal with Stephanie Otobo, the General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries; Apostle Suleman revealed why some people are gay. The Nigerian pastor who is said to command a congregation of almost 200 thousand revealed this while preaching at his church in Edo State. During his sermor, the apostle said that homosexuality was the result of having a demon from the pit of hell.
The Cleric added that homosexuality could also be caused by medical problems, poverty and perversion. In a report by the Daily Mirror newspaper, he goes on to say;
“You can’t say you are a homosexual, that that is who you are. That is not who you are. God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. If you are a homosexual, you have four problems.
Number 1, you have a demon living inside you. A registered demon from hellfire, a demon with capital letters.
Number 2, you have a medical problem because your thinking is wrong.
Number 3, economic situation can cause it. There are people that are being paid to be homosexual.
Number 4, you are a pervert. You have tried the normal style and its not enough. Deal with it and stop forcing your lifestyle on people.”
He went on to pray against homosexuality, saying, “In Nigeria, we kill the spirit of homosexuality in the name of Jesus.”
However, there was no word on if his conclusions came from a divine revelation or his own personal logic. Whatever the case may be, the apostle is making it clear he thinks homosexuality is unholy and he goes on to throw the full weight of his spiritual prowess against it.
