Prosecutors have dropped charges against Jussie Smollett

There is another twist in the Jussie Smollett case.

From reports that the Empire actor faked his attack to promote his career to the news that we was indicted in a 16 count felony charge for the false assault, his lawyers have just released a statement that all charges against the actor has been dropped and that his records have been wiped clean.

His family also has put out a statement on the issue.

The Cook County State’s Attorney’s office say he will forfeit his bond and that the “outcome is a just disposition and appropriate resolution”

The Chicago Police Department have not released an official statement on the matter.

Jussie Smollet and his team are expected to make a statement on the development and the Mayor of  Chicago alongside the Chief of Police are also expected to make a statement.
