The school for transgender students in Chile

As we countdown to the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, it is important that we celebrate initiatives around the world doing their part towards the push for equality for all LGBT people.

The BBC recently did a report on the school in Chile that is predominantly for transgender children and their siblings. Called the Amaranta school for transgender children, it is named after the Mexican transgender politician Amaranta Gómez Regalado, and caters for children aged between 6 and 17.
