The Equality Hub Launches Online Merchandise Store, Pledges to Donate 10% Of Proceeds to the “Be A Rainbow Project”

The Equality Hub has announced the launch of its official online merchandise store, EH Online Store, in a move that marks the celebration of Pride month in Nigeria. It provides Pride-inspired for-sale merchandise targeted at community members, allies, and other stakeholders. The store officially opens on June 1, 2020.

In addition, The Equality Hub has pledged to donate 10% of the total net income from the store in the month of June 2020, to support the “Be A Rainbow Project” at One Action Foundation, which aims to provide COVID-19 relief materials to vulnerable LGBTQ people in Nigeria. So far, the project has raised around N50,000 and impacted the lives of 15 community members.

While making this announcement, Executive Director of The Equality Hub, Pamela Adie, said “I’m very pleased with what One Action Foundation has been able to accomplish in terms of helping people in these times. This is what Pride is all about and we are so proud to support this project and community members, indirectly. Every Naira you spend at our store goes towards helping to amplify our voices, putting food on someone’s table, and saving a life. So, if you’re thinking of a meaningful way of giving back to the community, this is your opportunity and I implore you to shop generously.”www.ehstore.ng

Jennifer, Executive Director at One Action Foundation, expressed gratitude for this collaboration and said “This is very much welcome because due to limited funds, we have not been able to fully support members of the LGBTQ community that are still experiencing difficulties in supporting their day-to-day livelihoods. We urge individuals and organizations to support the Be A Rainbow Project and help spread kindness during this pandemic.”

The EH online store will include clothing, shoes, and personal and household accessories. To shop, please visit www.ehstore.ng to take advantage of current promotions, including FREE shipping. (*Terms and conditions apply)
