Noah’s Arc began streaming officially on the 19th of October 2005. The drama series followed the lives and relationships of a group of gay men navigating life in Los Angeles. It featured focused on a myriad of topics that affects the LGBTQ+ community from safe sex to roles in relationships and internalised homophobia.
Between 2005 and 2006, the series originally aired for two seasons on Logo TV made history as the first American TV series that featured gay, black and Latino characters.
Out reports that the characters from Noah’s Arc are reuniting for a special hour-long virtual reunion 15 years after it originally launched on TV. The special episode has been titled: Noah’s Arc: The Rona Chronicles.
Scheduled for Sunday, July 5, 2020, at 8 p.m. EST, the Virtual Reunion Experience will kick off with a pre-show tailgate party featuring clips from the series and testimonial videos from fans presented & hosted by MOBI (Mobilizing Our Brothers Initiative), followed by the reunion episode written and directed by the show’s creator Patrik-Ian Polk. A post-show LIVE Q&A with original cast Darryl Stephens, Jensen Atwood, Rodney Chester, Doug Spearman & Christian Vincent will be moderated by Karamo Brown (Netflix’s Queer Eye).
The reunion will be streamed on the Facebook and YouTube page of the creator, Patrik-Ian Polk. “Not a day goes by that I don’t get messages, tweets, DMs and emails from the huge Noah’s Arc fanbase saying how much they love & miss the show and begging for a reboot,” Polk says. “While we’ve all struggled to stay sane during these stressful and trying times, the cast and I wanted to do something special to show our appreciation for all the love we continue to receive from the fans,” he added.
