Cariño is an animated short film about a young boy on a mission to help out the other boy he admires. Directed and written by Carlos Taborda, Roshel Amuruz, and Ashley Williams as part of their thesis, Cariño, set in Cartagena, Colombia, follows a young black boy who, in affection with another Latino boy, attempts to return a picture that had fallen from his pocket.
To announce the film, Carlos Taborda, the filmmaker, writes on Twitter, “Hello! I’m here to post about my thesis film Cariño, a canonically #gay short #film that takes place in the streets of Colombia.”
“Why support these queerbaiting corporations when there’s #LGBT films by the community #Pride #animation #ArtistOnTwitter,” he added.
