Critically renowned poet Danez Smith was at the 2018 edition of the Lagos International Poetry Festival. The queer American poet whose poetry collection won the Lambda Literary Award for Gay Poetry performed ‘Dear White America.’ The poem tackles racial issues in the United States and is a call to action for justice in America.
