Best of Nollywood Awards: ‘We Don’t Live here Anymore’ leads nomination list

The nominees for the 2018 edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards have been announced and ‘We Don’t Live Here Anymore’ leads the nominees list with 11 nominations.

The categories are Movie with the Best Social Message, Movie with the Best Screenplay, Movie with the Best Production Design, Movie with the Best Editing, Most Promising Actor for Francis Sule & Temidayo Akinboro, Most Promising Actress for Elma Mbadiwe, Movie with the Best Cinematography, Best Actress in an English film for Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, Director of the Year for Tope Oshin and the main prize, Movie of the Year.

We Don’t Live Here Anymore is a film by The Initiative for Equal Rights and it stars some of Nigeria’s top actors including Funlola Aofiyebi Raimi, Katherine Obiang, Francis Sule, Temidayo Akinboro and Omotunde ‘Lolo’ Adebowale-David. Directed and produced by Tope Oshin, it takes the audience through the emotional journey of two families forced to confront ‘taboo’ issues and navigate their realities in the society, with an in-depth look at violence, discrimination, and the many struggles faced by persons in the LGBT community.

The Best of Nollywood Awards is an annual film event presented by Best of Nollywood Magazine honouring outstanding achievement in the Nigerian Movie Industry.
